The USGA handicap option does not actually calculate handicap due to licensing restrictions, but rather gives you an opportunity to enter your official USGA handicap if you have one.
We also do not support the EGA, GHIN or the RCGA due to the same restrictions. In order for GolfLogix to actually calculate an estimate* based on your logged rounds, you need to have that selected.
*This is not in any way an official calculation of your handicap but is intended to give you an idea of what it might be.
Open the GolfLogix Application
Click on your "name" and it will go to your profile page or "About Me." Scroll down and find "Handicap Index."
Here you can select USGA, or select "GolfLogix", then hit the "Back" button.
**Note: the USGA selection just allows you to type in your USGA handicap if you have one. Your rounds played in the app, do not change this field.
In addition to this selection, you must have 5 completed 18-hole rounds, ALL HOLES MUST BE SCORED, and tee boxes selected.
Nine hole rounds are not calculated.
On the Stats screen if N/A is displayed in Handicap, simply "tap" the HCP and a pop up should display how many rounds you still need to input/play.
We take the average differential of your best rounds based on how may rounds you have entered and multiply it by 0.96 to produce your GolfLogix Handicap index.
If you have only 5-6 rounds your best round will be used.
7-8 round Best 2
9-10 rounds Best 3
11-12 rounds Best 4
13-14 rounds Best 5
14-15 rounds Best 6
17 rounds Best 7
18 rounds Best 8
19 rounds Best 9
20 rounds best 10
