The GolfLogix application may use approx 6-8MB or more per round.
To help manage the amount of cell data you are using you can follow the below steps.
For your iPhone
When you are connected to WIFI please open GolfLogix and Select Play Golf.
Pick your course and go all the way until you see the hole view with distance "To Green Center" in white.
Now press the Home key it's the only button on the front of the iPhone and now head into Settings from the home screen.
In Settings you will see an option for Wi-Fi select this and slide to off.
Now hit Settings in the upper Left and then select Cellular and also slide off Cellular Data.
Now lock your phone till you are ready to play.
Once at the course open GolfLogix and it will bring up a message that states Cellular data is Turned Off just select “OK”.
For your Android operated phone:
When you are connected to WIFI please open GolfLogix and Select Play Golf.
Pick your course and go all the way until you see the hole view with distance "To Green Center <999".
Presses the home key at the bottom of the phone and from Apps go into Settings.
In Settings look for Network Connections and toggle off WIFI.
Then select Data Usage and uncheck Mobile Data.
If you have a pop up warring select “OK”.
Now lock your phone till you are ready to play. Once at the course open GolfLogix.
It may bring up a message that states Cellular data is Turned Off just select “OK”.

Many problems can be resolved by doing a restore, if your unit stops responding, you can't scroll through courses or holes, or your GPS is off by more than 7 - 10 yards.
Follow the below steps to restore your GPS back to it's factory settings.
After successfully restoring the GPS it is important to load your courses again, as the restore process has removed them.
The restore process should restore full functionality to your unit. If you continue to experience problems, or need any further assistance, please feel free to contact our Member Support Team. Email contact@golflogixsupport.com RESTORATION PROCESS 1) Open the GolfLogix Course Manger Software on your computer. 2) Select the red "Help" button located in upper right corner of the software. 3) Select the "How can I restore my GolfLogix GPS to its original settings" FAQ located on the bottom right side of the screen (Just click the question itself.)
4) Connect and turn on your GPS to the computer and press the "Restore GPS" button. You will receive a prompt once the restore has successfully completed.
5) Turn the GPS off, count to five, and turn it back on.
6) Re-load your desired courses into your GPS unit.

Please ensure you have exited the Course Manager before renewing.
If your card expires 2018 and beyond click on the below link to renew your membership. Please close the course manager on your computer before opening the link.
Renew my GPS Membership
After you have renewed, open the course manager and search and save at least two courses.
If you are not prompted to renew, then you should be good.

Note: You have to be in the app you want to force quit before starting.First open the app you want to close.
Then Press and hold the side button (This is the long button below the Digital Crown) until the Power options appear then release.
Now Press and hold the Crown button until the app disappears and is replaced by the home screen, then release.

IMPORTANT: LEAVE THE GOLFLOGIX USB CABLE UNPLUGGED FROM THE COMPUTER WHILE DOWNLOADING THE DRIVER AND SOFTWARE.

1) On the website, click on the "Download Software" button the right hand side of the screen. In the box that opens select, "Download Driver".
When it's downloaded there should be a "Downloads" window open, double click on the "PL2303_MacOSX_v1.5.0.dmg", if it is not open, while in Mozilla Firefox, press the Apple and J keys on the keyboard at the same time, if that doesn't bring it up click on the "TOOLS" option at the very top of your screen and select "DOWNLOADS". Next, double click on the "osx-pl2303-10.4" and it'll open up the installation window. Now, click "CONTINUE" on the "Introduction screen". Next, click "CONTINUE" on the "License" screen and click on "AGREE" for the "Software License Agreement". Then, make sure you select the "Macintosh HD" on the "Destination Select" screen and click "CONTINUE". When you're on the "Installation Type" screen, click on "INSTALL", and then your computer may ask for your computer password, once it's typed in, press "OK". When the Driver is installed successfully, make sure you restart your computer.
1a) Once your computer is restarted, go back to the download section using the website link above and click on "Second Download Software". Make sure "Save File" is selected then click on "OK". When it's downloaded there should be a "Downloads" window open, double click on the "GolfLogix.dmg". Then double click on the "Install GolfLogix" to open up the installation window. Now, click "CONTINUE" on the "Introduction" screen. Then, click "INSTALL" on the Destination Select, and then your computer may ask for your computer password, once it's typed in, press "OK". When the software is installed press the "CLOSE" button and the GolfLogix Course Manager software will open up by itself. If the GolfLogix Course Manager does not open, press your Finder icon on your dock bar. Then, go into your "APPLICATIONS" folder and double click on the "GolfLogix" application to open it up.
2) The software will start to take you through the registration process again. Scroll down on the product use agreement and press the "Agree" option. The next screen will prompt you to connect and turn on your GPS, please do so.
3) The next screen will prompt you to enter your email address twice and your password twice, below the last password box there is an icon that states "I already have a GolfLogix account, click here to login" please select that option.
4) This screen will ask for your email address and password only once. Please fill in your already registered email and password and click the BLUE SUBMIT button located in the lower left hand corner.
5) You should then receive a prompt that courses are ready to be downloaded, press YES on this option. (This will download all of the courses that you have saved in the past to the alternate computer) When the download is complete you will be brought to the search and load screens.

If you've gotten a new or replacement device, you are going to need to do a membership transfer.
To transfer your membership, please follow the below instructions:
Install the GolfLogix application on your device through; the Play Store for Andriod users, Apple App Store for iPhone users and if you own a blackberry or windows phone, then you will use their perspective marketplaces.
Once you have it installed, open the application.
Once launched, locate where it reads "Already have an account?" Tap the button that says "SIGN IN"
Next LOGIN WITH EMAIL or if you have registered with one of the other methods you can log in with that. Enter your Registered username/email address and password, then click "DONE".

Please follow the below steps to adjust the GPS settings within your iPhone
For iOS versions 6 and 7,
please navigate to Settings > Privacy > Location Services is set to "On".
Verify that they are enabled specifically for the GolfLogix application.
For iOS 8 to 11, please navigate to
Settings > Privacy > Ensure Location Services is On.
Go into Location Services and verify that "Always" is selected for the GolfLogix application.
(Ensure that after you have finished any application that uses location services, you close the application properly or it will run in the background and may cause a drain on the battery.)
Click here for how to close the GolfLogix app.
If the above does not resolve the issue, please attempt to reset your network settings by navigating to
Setting > General > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy
(Please note: This will reboot your phone and eliminate any stored Wi-Fi passwords, static IP addresses, or custom APN settings).

The following is for installing the Driver and Course Manager for Windows Vista and Windows 7:
1) Unplug the GolfLogix USB Cable from the computer
2) Visit the following website and click on the blue button labeled "Download Software" on the right side of the screen:

3) Click on the blue button labeled "Download Driver," and follow the on screen instructions to install the driver (While installing the driver, the InstallShield Wizard may minimize itself, make sure you are able to click on "Finish" to verify the installation has completed successfully). After the driver is finished installing, you MIGHT be prompted to restart the computer, please click "Restart Now". If this happens go to 3a below.
3a) When the computer restarts, visit the download website again. Click on the "Download Software" link again and follow the prompts on screen to install the software.
4) After the driver file has installed, go back to the download page and Click on the "Download Software" link again and follow the prompts on screen to install the software.
5) The Course Manager software will start to take you through the registration process again. Scroll down on the product use agreement and press the "Agree" option. The next screen will prompt you to connect and turn on your GPS, please do so.
6) The next screen will prompt you to enter your email address twice and your password twice. Below the last password box there is an icon that states "If you already have a GolfLogix account, click here to login". Please click on this link to sign into your account
7) The next screen will ask for your email address and password once. Please fill in your already registered email address and password and click the blue "Submit" button located in the lower left corner.
8) You should then receive a prompt "The following courses are ready to be downloaded" with a list of all previously downloaded courses. Press "Yes" on this option to automatically retrieve these courses. When the download is complete you will be brought to the search and load screen.

The Following is for Installing the PL2303 Driver and GolfLogix Course Manager for Windows 8, 8.1 or 10.
1) Unplug the GolfLogix USB Cable from the computer

3) Select Windows Vista/Windows 10, for the operating system, this will also work with Windows 8/Windows 8.1/Windows 10. Click on the Green button labeled "Download Driver," and follow the on screen instructions to install the driver (While installing the driver, the InstallShield Wizard may minimize itself, make sure you are able to click on "Finish" to verify the installation has completed successfully). After the driver is finished installing, turn on and connect your GPS and let Windows configure the new hardware. From the main screen of your computer, press and hold the Windows Key on your keyboard (it looks like a circle with four curved boxes in it) and press X. On Windows 8.1/Windows 10 you will Right click the Start button to get this menu. (Looks like the 4 square windows symbol usually in the bottom left hand corner of the computer screen) A small menu comes up on your screen. In that menu, click on Device Manager.
a. In the list of devices in Device Manager, find Ports (Com and LPT). Under it you should see something called Prolific USB To Serial. If you do not see this, look under Other Devices for something called USB serial Controller. In either case, right click on the name of the device, and left click on Update Driver Software.
b. In the box that comes up, click on Browse My Computer, which should be the bottom option. In the next screen, click Let Me Pick, which should also be at the bottom of the box.
c. You will see either one or two items called Prolific. If one, click to highlight it and press next. If more than one, click the one that ends in 3.2.0.0. After it has been installed successfully, restart the computer.
4) After the computer restarts, visit the Website again. Click on the Green button labeled "Download Software" and follow the prompts on screen to install the software.

1. Make Sure the GPS is turned on and plugged into the USB Port.
Go to your Control Panel and then programs and features. Look to make sure that the PL-2303 Vista Driver Installer is the only PL-2303 file there.
If there are two PL 2303 files, or you don't show any listed at all, or the wrong one is listed, unplug the GPS USB cable from the computer, uninstall the driver(s) and restart the computer. (See "g" below)
Then Click Here for GPS 7/8 Download Page and make sure the "operating System" is selected as Windows Vista/Windows 10. Then Download and install the driver.
2. After the driver is installed:
Plug the USB cable back into the computer, and make sure GPS is turned on.
a. Windows 8/Windows 10: From the main screen of your computer, press and hold the Windows Key on your keyboard (it looks like a circle with four curved boxes in it) and press X. On Windows 8.1-Windows 10 you will Right click the Start button to get this menu. (Looks like the 4 square windows symbol usually in the bottom left hand corner of the computer screen) A small menu comes up on your screen. In that menu, click on Device Manager.

Windows Vista/Windows 7: Click on your windows start button, then "Right Click" on Computer or My Computer on the right, and click on "Manage." In the computer Management Window, that opens, under system tools on the left, click on "Device Manager."

d. If your entry in device manager already started with the word Prolific, skip to step e. If it was USB serial controller, scroll down the list you will see until you find Ports (COM and LPT). Click to highlight Ports, and press next.
e. You will see either one or two items called Prolific. If one, click to highlight it and press next. If more than one, click the one that ends in 3.2.0.0 If the 3.2.0.0 is not listed, close out all the windows back down to your desktop, and go to "f" below. Otherwise let the installation finish and then open the course manager and attempt to load courses.
f. If you did not see the 3.2.0.0 in the driver box, then you will need to uninstall the driver and re-install it.
g. FOR Windows 8 - 10, Right Click your Windows Start Button then select Programs and Features In the search box in the upper right type in "PL" this will filter down the list to the installed drivers. If you see "USB to Serial" or "Windows vista Driver Installer" or both, Highlight and then click "Uninstall"
h. Once the driver(s) has been uninstalled, reboot your computer, then Click Here for GPS 7/8 Download Page and make sure the "operating System" is selected as Windows Vista/Windows 7. Then Download and install the driver.
i. Go back to "2." above.

To get the Apple watch app to interface with the GolfLogix app on your phone you will need to ensure that you have setup the watch correctly on your phone.
(Note: You may have to ensure the app on the watch is shut down properly also. Please refer to our help forums for more info: golflogix.freeforums.net/thread/33/close-app-on-apple-watch )
1) Please open the Watch app on your phone and navigate to General.
2) The following settings are what you will need. Enable Handoff: ON
Tap Wake Screen and select under RETURN TO CLOCK select After 1 hour
3) Now go back to the main My Watch screen and scroll down to GolfLogix and select it. Make sure the Show App on Apple Watch is set to ON.
***You may also do this on your watch in the settings on the watch.
"Wake to your last activity
For some apps, you can set Apple Watch to return you to where you were before it went to sleep. These apps include Audiobooks, Maps, Mindfulness, Music, Now Playing, Podcasts, Stopwatch, Timers, Voice Memos, Walkie-Talkie, and Workout.
Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch. Go to General > Return to Clock, scroll down and tap an app, then turn on Return to App.
To return to the clock face, just stop what you’re doing in the app—for example, stop a podcast, end a route in Maps, or cancel a timer.
You can also open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, tap My Watch, then go to General > Return to Clock."***
4) Now open your GolfLogix app on your phone and select Play Golf.
5) Setup your round as normal.
6) When on the first hole, open the app on your Apple Watch.

On an iPhone X or later or an iPad with iOS 12, from the Home screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause slightly in the middle of the screen. On an iPhone 8 or earlier, see below. 2. Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close. 3. Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app. For iPhone 8 or laterQuickly press the Home button twice.
You will now see a small preview of app you have recently used.
Swipe left or right to find the GolfLogix app.
Swipe up on the GolfLogix preview to close it.
